Importance: Low
Error «Nofollowed by X-Robots-Tag» Description
Indicates HTML pages that contain a 'nofollow' or 'none' directive in the X-Robots-Tag field of the HTTP response header.
The Importance of the Problem
A 'nofollow' directive in the X-Robots-Tag helps to disallow search robots from following links on a page. As a result, such documents don't pass link weight to other pages. That's why this instruction should be used only on pages where links do not matter. For example, on a personal account page or admin panel.
It's not recommended to use both Meta Robots and X-Robots-Tag for HTML pages. If different directives appear in these settings by any mistake, important pages may lose traffic.
For these directives to be followed by search robots, the URL must not be blocked by a robots.txt file.
How to Fix Error
Make sure that the 'nofollow' directive is really necessary on a page and does not obstruct link weight distribution on the site.
If both Meta Robots and X-Robots-Tag are used simultaneously for HTML pages, make sure they match or better leave only one of them: either the meta tag or HTTP header.
