Error «Bad Base Tag Format» Description
Indicates pages that contain the <base> tag in bad format.
The Importance of the Problem
Due to incorrect <base> tag setting, relative links on a page may form incorrectly, thereby broken links may occur.
How to Fix Error
Correct all mistakes in the <base> tag: the href attribute of this tag must contain a valid relative or absolute URL.
Also, there must be a slash at the end of the address, otherwise, the URL will be processed as a file address not the folder one. If the page contains anchor links or links to URLs with GET parameters (#link or ?query=link type URLs), use absolute addresses for them.
It's recommended to not use the <base> tag at all. It's useful in rare cases, and may cause broken links and waste of crawl budget.
