Hello everyone! In the new version of the SiteAnalyzer SEO Tools browser extension, we have added statistics of Google advertising blocks, added the calculation of the TF-IDF parameter, added the display of the Google Trends graph and much more. Let's consider everything in more detail.

TF-IDF, Google SERP and Ad Results Analysis - SiteAnalyzer SEO Tools 2.2

1. Google SERP and Ad Results Analysis

Added statistics on ad blocks and organic search results (SERP) in the Google search engine (displayed as a separate widget).

Google Ad Block Statistics

Now, every time a Google search is performed, you will see this widget next to the search results. The SiteAnalyzer SEO Tools widget will display the types of blocks being on the page, as well as the number of results found by the types of blocks found in the search results.

So now you can see how many organic results there are on the search results page for the entered search query.

Types of Google search results blocks:

  • AI Overview (Google AI answers)
  • Organic Results (organic results are the standard blue links)
  • Ad Results (ad blocks in organic search results)
  • Product Listings (product listings)
  • Local Listings (block with local listings)
  • Video Listings (block with a thematic video on Youtube)
  • Image Listings (a block with thematic images)
  • Fresh Listings (a block of recently published materials)
  • News Listings (news block)
  • FAQ Data (Frequently Asked Questions block)

Thus, using the search results widget, you can analyze the number of product ads, local videos, images, and news listings, including frequently asked questions (FAQ).

Example #1

For instance, for the search query «how to clean shoes with baking soda», you can see that 6 standard blocks of organic output were found, 1 AI Overview block, there are 3 video listings, there are 4 advertising blocks and 3 FAQ lists (PAA).

10 standard blocks of organic output were found, 1 AI Overview block

This is useful since the widget immediately displays the structure of the Google search results page for this keyword, and also shows how competitive this keyword is, which gives you an idea of which search results Google prefers to display to the user for this keyword.

For any keyword entered in the search bar, the SiteAnalyzer SEO Tools extension widget also helps you figure out what types of content can be created to rank for that keyword.

Example #2

Now let's search for another search term, for example «los angeles news», where we see that the structure of the search outcome has become completely different:

  • there are eight organic results
  • two video listings
  • there are five latest listings (a fresh listing is basically a regular issue that was recently published, for example, eight hours ago, four hours ago, 39 minutes ago, and so on)
  • there are three news listings

There are eight organic results, three video listings, four FAQ blocks

Example #3

For example, for the search term «pepperoni pizza recipe», we see that there are 9 lists of images, based on which, perhaps, we want to go a little deeper and look at these images in more detail as well as perhaps create our own list of images on our web page, so that, perhaps, the site ranks in the image search in a proper way.

Data Export:

  • To save the statistics data of this table, you need to click on the copy data button at the top of the widget (the data will be copied to the clipboard).
  • You can also save all the search output data in CSV format (Excel). The data will be saved in CSV as a snippet + its type (advertising, organic, FAQ, etc.).

Thus, the widget of the browser extension SiteAnalyzer SEO Tools allows you to analyze Google search results in real time and better understand how you can improve your own Internet resource for its better ranking in search engine results.

2. Calculation of the TF-IDF parameter

The TF-IDF cosine similarity calculation analyzes how accurately Google search titles match the relevant search query.

Calculation of the TF-IDF parameter

The TF-IDF parameter calculation works with the search output and evaluates the search output headers compared to the search query in terms of the TF-IDF cosine similarity, which helps you to understand the relevance of the header to the search query.

Usage cases:

  • When analyzing the relevance of the headlines compared to the search query and their subsequent optimization, if necessary.
  • Identifying outsiders for long-tail queries and content matching similar queries. Similarity indicators can provide a direction for searching for user-oriented topics.
  • TF-IDF analysis for building links to a website. This analysis will help you understand if there is any correlation between search queries with similar volumes of links to the site, which at the same time receive a higher CTR.
  • Analysis of the headers of related queries (PAA – people also ask – people also asked) will make it clear whether there is any correlation between long-tail queries and estimates of the cosine similarity of TF-IDF PAA headers.

3. Google Trends

Added a graph showing the popularity of Google Trends search queries.

The Google Trends service allows you to find out the popularity of any query over a certain period of time. It is possible to receive Google Trends data for the last 7 days, 30 days, 12 months, 5 years, and for all time (the service works intermittently and does not always send data to the extension, however, when switching from the graph to the Google Trends website itself everything is displayed correctly).

4. Numbering of the organic Google SERP

Added numbering of Google's organic search results.

You can control the option's activity in the «Settings» section.
